There are no less than four Listed contests at Eagle Farm this Saturday.
Racing is starting to heat up in the Sunshine State this weekend with the running of four black-type contests at Eagle Farm.
Our best bet lines up in one of them, the $160,000 Mick Dittman Plate.
The Peter Snowden-prepared Akaysha has been plying her trade in much harder races down south and maps nicely for this contest from gate two. The Snowden camp have a handy record when heading north and most of her main competitors here have drawn poorly. Strips fitter second-up from the spell and should be right there at the business end.
We keep our powder dry until the last event for our next best with us siding with Irish import Cote Atlantique out of the Victorian Henry Dwyer barn.
This five-year-old gelding was hitting the line with gusto second-up at Doomben and looks to be crying out for the step-up to the mile journey now. Likes a bit of sting out of the ground and should get those conditions on Saturday.
Currently shopping around the 5-2 quote in the old and is sure to give backers a sight.
