TRIAL POINTERS

ROSEHILL April 17: Expect a sharp form reversal from I Am Invincible filly ERNAUX after her poor showing in the G2 PJ Bell when second up. Travelled easily off the leader FIREPOP in her 900m open trial (54.99; 34.32) and had no trouble getting the upper hand over the last 200m under a cold ride from James McDonald. Heat winners to make a good impression included MAN OF WORTH (64.15; 35.54) and KRASINA (62.40; 35.58) in their 1050m trials. Numerous runners turned in eye catching efforts with soft trials that leaves them open to ample improvement. They included ROTAGILLA, the import SIR DINADAN and MISS SUPERNOVA. HORIZONS is set for a big first-up performance after two sharp trial wins six weeks apart. Easily opened u[p a big lead in the first 600m of his 1050m open heat (63.39; 34.85) and was never troubled to coast home by almost six lengths.

WARWICK FARM April 13: Zousain filly JAIPUR MAISON didn't run to expectations in her first two starts in November but this impressive trial underlines that she has the talent. Came from last with a strong late surge to finish fifth in her 798m heat (47.62; 34.06) with her work through the line an excellent pointer to her future prospects. Open company trials of note included the eye catching finish of SIRAGUSA for second in a good 801m heat won by the smart CASSEROUSSE in fast time (46.92; 33.45) and nice closing work by LULUMON in her heat. Youngsters to follow from the 2YO heats include the heat winner TI AMO.

CANTERBURY April 10: Talented 3YO LULL has won two of her six starts with her first trial since January showing she is set to add to that record. Never off the bit to stroll home in her 898m heat (54.33; 34.52) with plenty in reserve. The noted efforts from the 1100m trials included the soft heat winner MIDNIGHT DYNAMITE (66.34; 34.71). The eight 2YO heats were full of potential winners with the second placing by the talented WHITEHALL in his 898m heat certain to stand up on race day despite the slow time (56.50; 35.92). Other good 2YO trials from the heat winner AFFARI (55.05; 34.68) and eye catchers by KEEN TO EXCEED, FOUND THE GOLD, MYSTICAL and SEMANTICS.

WARWICK FARM March 30: in his 818m heat (48.49; 34.42) the unraced runner-up WHITEHALL showed good potential with his late work. A strong 821m heat (48.73; 33.94) saw BALKANS and SURFIN' BIRD look open to plenty of improvement on their easy efforts. 2YOs to capture attention included GIRL ABOUT TOWN while maidens showing bright promise included the heat winner COLD GIN.

ROSEHILL April 2: The Hawkes stable would also have come away delighted with a strong fifth in his heat by the maiden ADENAUER. The Ryan/Alexiou partnership had SIMPLY UNIQUE in good form to win her 900m heat (54.36; 34.36)

WARWICK FARM March 30: Maidens showing bright promise included the heat winner COLD GIN.

RANDWICK March 27: The Waterhouse/Bott stable won a quick 745m heat with the promising SUPERMASSIVE (44.72; 34.29) and a slower heat with SLY BOOTS (45.94; 35.01. The 2YOs to take the eye in the 745m heats included GRIDLOCK and KING OF THE NILE having easy trials.

RANDWICK February 19: The 2YO trials over 740m featured a smart win by FOUND THE GOLD (43.61; 33.23).

RANDWICK KENSINGTON December 9: Super return by Capitalist filly AGATHA in her first trial since she was beaten at short odds when making her debut in June. shouldn't be long making amends after she sailed home from last to win her 850m heat (50.34; 33.73) under a cold ride from Tommy Berry while all her rivals were under pressure from the 200m.

ROSEHILL October 13: A nice trial from WHITEHALL in his 900m heat, taking the eye with his late work to finish second (55.56; 34.91).
