Sam King is back with two selections on Thursday.
The flat action continues thick and fast at Beverley this afternoon and I'm Next looks to have very solid claims of striking in the Happy Birthday Andy Hill Handicap (2.52).
The son of Ardad make a hugely pleasing reappearance when denied a head over course and distance eight days ago, showing bundles of early speed before being pegged back in the dying strides.
It's likely that Duran Fentiman was just a touch aggressive on that occasion, although nobody's exactly blaming him for defeat as it was a massive run on his return to action in Class 3 company.
This represents a drop back to Class 4 level and that recent outing ought to have put him spot on for this, while stall eight shouldn't pose many problems for one who has plenty of early speed.
Tim Easterby's charge is officially 1lb well-in at the weights here and could take some stopping if in a similar vein of form.
I'm Next – 1pt Win
Odds – 11/8
Later on the card, a return to form could be in the pipeline for Coolree, who returns to his favoured venue in the Connexin's 'No Lagging Behind' Handicap (4.52).
0-16 on the all-weather, it's fairly easy to draw a line through Coolree's recent efforts and it would hardly be a major shock were he to bounce right back to form now back on the green stuff.
His form figures over this course and distance read 112 and all of those efforts have come off higher marks and in stronger company.
He's now 4lb lower than when runner-up in a Class 5 track and trip handicap last August and if bouncing back to the level of that form, then he'd certainly be a big player in a race that lacks depth.
Coolree – 1pt Win
Odds – 7/1
