This 86th running of the Satsuki Sho (2000 Guineas) saw a record run.

Lovcen, who won the Hopeful in 2025, managed to lead from wire to write under Matsuyama and break the record for the Satsuki Sho 2000m trip.  He was too strong for Realize Sirius and the fast-finishing third Reichsadler, a Siskin colt who went off at 23.4.

Cavalerizzo raced well in the early stages of the race but seemed to run out of gas in ths straight and was soon covered by the swoopers, and not much can be added about the rest of the field.
