Seven meetings across the country and here are the specials from Racing and Sports.
BOTH SIDES NOW (2) comes here in fine form having won two on the bounce at Warrnambool, far too good under the 60.5kg last time when coming right away to score by 2.75 lengths. She draws beautifully here, she'll land in the first few and take a power of beating again.
HEAVENLY LEGEND (1) is backing up quickly after finishing in the money at Moranbah over 1170m just six days ago. Strong run last time and shapes as a major threat.
MOONWALK (7) lands here third-up from a short freshen following a strong performance behind a subsequent stakes winner last time out. Fiore hops back on board today, though she'll need a touch of luck from the barrier. Looks one on the rise though and she can go one better.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 4
BLUE LIGHT DISCO (1) could not have hoped to find a more suitable race than what he is presented with here. Freshened after the adequate debut in a handy Pakenham maiden, he improved again at start No 2 at the same track and then just found the nippy Catwalk Icon too slippery last start. The three starts to date have been in races of more depth than this and the only negative here is the outside gate, but the small field helps in that regard.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 9
IT'S JAGGER TIME (2) stuck on well when resuming to finish second over 1200m at this track after showing good early speed. Flies second-up and the longer sprint suits. Improver with strong prospects.
CANBERRA: RACE 4
IOWNA BENZ (6) led and went on to score by 1.3 lengths last time out over 1000m in a 66 at Wagga. Was heavily bet and had been busting to win. Tumbles in weight at this level, and that brings her right into it. Maps well and can go on with it.
KALGOORLIE: RACE 3
NISTIRITH (9) who is third-up but having first run for a new yard. Runner-up fresh at Mount Barker then runner-up again last time at Belmont Park in what has been a red-hot form race with four subsequent winners. Has brilliant early speed and will take catching.
