Anzac Day racing at Randwick and Simon Thomas has your best bets.

Sydney Specials for Randwick Picture: Racing and Sports

A bonanza of Benchmark racing awaits the Anzac Day meeting at Royal Randwick on Saturday.

The eight-race card sees the rail out 10m from the 1000m to the winning post, and a further 8m the remainder on a good 4 surface.

Our best bet comes up in the Battle Of The Dardanelles BM78 Handicap (1600m), with the Chris Waller-trained NOBLER.

The lightly raced four-year-old imported son of Amaron is sweating on one more scratching to gain a start.

Nobler comes up from Victoria after sprinting well first-up with an eye-catching second from last on the turn over 1400m at Sandown Lakeside from the wide draw.

Last start at Caulfield, Nobler raced a touch closer than anticipated and never looked comfortable on the shifty soft (7) surface when running sixth on April 11.

Tomorrow, Nobler looks well placed on the limit weight, and from the inside barrier Tyler Schiller can park him just off the good tempo before producing him along the inside.

After markets went up on Wednesday afternoon, Nobler has been crunched from $4.40 into $3.60 favouritism.

Our next best comes up in the Gallipoli BM78 Handicap (1000m), with the Jason Coyle-trained LULUMON.

The talented five-year-old Vancouver mare has been kept fresh for this over her preferred trip.

Last start at Kembla Grange in the Bert Lillye (1200m), Lulumon wasn't suited with the average tempo and failed to close off in the soft (7) conditions with a plugging fifth.

Lulumon has since been kept up to the mark with a 801m trial at Warwick Farm on April 13, and gets the blinkers added for the first time.

With the fast pace tomorrow, Regan Bayliss can drop her out early and have the final crack at them at the good each way odds.
