Five meetings across the country and here are the specials from Racing and Sports.
NOBLER (19) handy import poking along okay in Victoria. Chipped away late on a shifty surface second-up to finish sixth over this trip at Caulfield. Should relish the Randwick track from the inside draw. Genuine player with the 53.5kg.
ZAKOUMA (15) who has won his past three impressively. He was far too good accounting for a BM84 field over this route last time out and drops 1kg off that 2.75 length romp. This is no doubt harder but he just keeps raising the bar and profiles as a horse who can put his hand up as a lightweight Caulfield Cup chance if he wins again today.
AKAYSHA (5) is a consistent conveyance who is yet to miss the top-five in nine career starts to date and has been plying her trade in harder races down south. Drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate two and looks very hard to toss against this line-up.
SCIENCE DEGREE (6) has led them up this campaign, just being caught late in the race over 1200m. Back to this trip is a big bonus for him, as is the inside barrier and drop in weight. Things look to set up nicely for him here and he can go one better now.
MCWOODY (2) has hit the ground running for the new stable and is right back to the form that earned him a start in the G1 Victoria Derby in the spring. He took out the key lead up and looks even better suited stepping to 2000m.
