Young Ethan Perry has seemingly prioritised his hometown of Wagga over mine of Adelaide but I was more than happy to fill in and (hopefully) find a couple of Say from SA winners in the old stomping ground.

Keen to stay in the feature races and look at the Group One first which is an intriguing edition, mainly because the 2/1 favourite is first emergency and needing a run.

I speak of Accidental Bid who has made waves with two wins on our shores, dominant last start on heavy ground at Pakenham over 2000m when scoring by nearly eight lengths.

The time there was good without being great and while he's clearly got plenty of ability, this will certainly take more winning than he's shown yet.

The highest rated horse is clearly the filly After Summer who proved the unlucky Vinery second was no fluke, very good in the ATC Oaks last time when closing off strongly in a proper staying test.

Both times she's run over a staying trip, firstly in the VRC Oaks and more recently the ATC equivalent, she's been staying on very well in genuine tests and those two ratings have her as the horse to beat.

Hoping the favourite does make the field because I'll look to back After Summer to knock him off, while also giving smaller chances to Impulsive Reaction, Geneva and Strictly Business at big odds.

One of our other feature races on the card is the Listed Adelaide Guineas over a mile and Rohesia looks a rightful favourite with Gold Coast Belle coming out.

I'd been suspect of her even going to 1400m but her past two wins at that trip have been strong and she was dominant at the end of the Nitschke Stakes last start suggesting the trip would be no issue.

Our weight-adjusted ratings have her last start a fair bit clear of these and she should get every hope with Stackhouse on from barrier three.
