It's H C Nitschke Stakes Day at Morphettville Parks on Saturday, the final stop before the Adelaide Carnival roars to life next week, and the feature is exactly where we begin - because that's where I've found my best on the card in Exit from the Ciaron Maher camp.

The market has it narrowed to three main hopes inside the $4 quote, but it's the progressive Bivouac filly I want to be with. She has always hinted at her ability, but now looks to be putting it all together, and her Flemington win last start was the clearest sign yet.

Running to a new peak of 98 on the Racing and Sports scale, she disposed of a solid field with something still up her sleeve, and if she builds off that or even simply holds that level, I'm confident she'll be making it two on the bounce.

In the following race, Bouncing Beyond from the Andrew Gluyas yard profiles beautifully second‑up.

After a rather plain debut campaign, Gluyas seemed to unlock him last preparation. He kicked off over 1050m at headquarters, then improved a sharp 14 pounds on the RAS scale when shedding his maiden tag with ease at Strathalbyn, before taking another leap to make it two straight at Murray Bridge. He held that form right through the prep and added another win before heading to the paddock.

Resuming again over the 1050m a fortnight ago, he simply got too far back at Oakbank but was warming into it late to finish midfield, and that run should bring him right on. Rising to a more suitable trip now and keeping Jason Holder aboard, he maps to blend into the race at the right time, and if Stubby has him within striking distance at the top of the straight, he'll be very hard to hold out.
