Keep An Eye On SA Picture: Racing & Sports

In our final stop before the carnival kicks off this week, Enuff Seduction from the Shayne & Chelsea Cahill stable earns a late addition to the blackbook. He failed to finish off first-up on March 28 at headquarters when ridden much closer to the speed, so the stable reverted to his usual pattern second-up and rode him cold. Despite good pace on paper, it never materialised, and approaching the turn Enuff Seduction had more than six lengths to make up. Caitlin Tootell stayed patient and saved ground by sticking to the inside. She tracked up behind From The Block, who was solid first up, then launched off his back to hit the line hard for second, beaten only 0.7 lengths by Pure Bliss, who deserves a mention after winning fresh on stable debut for Grant Kluske.

Home in 32.76, Enuff Seduction ran to 100+ on the Racing and Sports scale, matching his career peak and finishing as the only runner on the card to break 33 seconds on the card. Pure Bliss stopped the clock at 33 flat. What made Enuff Seduction's burst even more impressive was that he did it under 61kgs after Tootel's 2kg claim. The sectionals show he had plenty up his sleeve and, had he been able to settle a shade closer, he wins.

To get weight off, he will likely be thrown into deeper waters during the carnival, and with the finishing burst he possesses, you never quite know what he might produce.
