Tuesday’s French Banker is a prolific jumper who can bounce back for top connections at Compiegne.
Metronomique (James Reveley / Noel George and Amanda Zetterhorn)
Compiegne – Prix Hopper – Race 3
- Proven class, course form and represents top connections
- Can gain compensation after a fall last time out
With four wins from seven starts, Metronomique is definitely the class horse in Tuesday’s Prix Hopper and can continue his prolific record.
He has looked better at Compiegne than anywhere else too. His four-race winning run started there in September before a double in October, including a 20-length romp in Listed company.
He came back in the spring over hurdles there, winning by two, before a deserved step up into Graded level in the Prix Fleuret at Auteuil 24 days ago. That effort only lasted up until the first fence before James Reveley departed and he deserves a second chance after a muddling mishap.
Clearly he looks the one to beat back in grade here and given his tremendous record at the course.
