Everything went wrong for Another Cashie last start, but he can make his presence felt from a good gate in the Queensland Guineas.

Trainer Matt Dunn has put a line through Another's Cashie's most recent performance, predicting the three-year-old will bounce back and run a cheeky race in the Group Two Queensland Guineas despite his long odds.

After resuming with a solid effort at the Gold Coast on April 4, Another Cashie finished among the tailenders in the Daybreak Lover Plate (1400m) won by Guineas favourite Brave Monarch in a race Dunn would rather forget.

"That was just a disaster last start, and he'll bounce back from that on Saturday," Dunn said.

"He missed the start, circled the field, and did way too much work. He drew a bad gate, and the plan was to try to go forward, but he didn't jump, and we didn't adjust.

"He just worked too hard during the race, but he's a decent horse and he deserves his spot."

While Another Cashie blotted his copybook last start, his form in the spring backs up Dunn's opinion.

Finishing third to the smart Grafterburners at Eagle Farm in November, the horse was then beaten a half-length when runner-up to Brave Monarch at the Sunshine Coast to round out his campaign.

From a low draw in four on Saturday, Dunn believes the $81 chance is at least a top five contender.

"Absolutely. From a good gate, we can ride him properly and he'll make his presence felt," he said.

"The aim long-term is to get him through to the (Queensland) Derby. He'll run that trip, so that's our ambitious plan."

Dunn is likewise expecting talented sprinter Without Parallel to redeem herself in the opening race after a luckless return at Doomben when she was caught wide throughout. 

It was her first appearance since contesting the Kosciusko, and while a wide gate has made her task more difficult on Saturday, Dunn says she is going well enough to win.

"We're just going to have to use her speed, so hopefully she doesn't have to work too hard to get across," he said.

"First-up it didn't work out for her at all. We got stuck three-deep with no cover and things didn't pan out as we hoped. 

"But she's great. She will be hard to beat, she just needs a bit of luck from that gate."

Maurraqa and consistent stayer Belvedere Boys round out Dunn's Eagle Farm team.
