Nine meetings across the country and here are the specials from Racing and Sports.
OLE MISS (2) was comfortably accounted for in much stronger over 1500m at Hawkesbury. That followed a 4.6L Maiden win over 1400m at this track at the previous outing. Has the blinkers on for the first time and the ability to return to the winner's list.
SHE THINKS AHEAD (6) comes up from Victoria and now in the Brett Robb yard. Returns from the lengthy break after dropping out sharply when fifth over 1500m at Ballarat Synthetic last August. Can sprint well fresh for the new yard.
CABRIOLE (4) has been an acceptor and scratched more than once of late, so the prep might not have been straightforward, but there's been a lot to like about how he's been going about his work at the jumpouts since being gelded. Was sent out odds-on in town at his only start last prep, which followed another third placing when he got within two lengths of Autumn Boy. That's good form for this.
FASTOBULLET (2) ran a good race first up in town at Sandown Lakeside, showing early speed and battling on well for third. That looks a fair bit stronger than this run and he was close to a win last preparation having placed in all four to date. He draws ideally and will take a power of catching.
BOLLINGER MISS (1) flew home to win first-up over 1200m at Doomben. Stepped up to Saturday company last start in town and caught the eye at the end of 1350m, beaten less than three lengths. Cherry ripe now and perfectly placed back in this company.
ARIAT (5) went close this grade/trip at Eagle Farm and then stepped up to a mile there and found the 85 a bit rich. She will use the low barrier and is well placed at this level with a handy 2kg claim.
LIKE A DRIFTER (3) is a maiden galloper who was last seen beaten a long neck as favourite on Christmas Eve at Strathalbyn. Has shown positive improvement whenever sighted publicly - race day and trials, winning his two lead-ups. Clearly the one to beat.
KHALEESI'S DREAM (8) looks even tougher to beat with the main danger scratched. Has raced three times and placed all three. Beaten less than a length here last time at this trip and gets a chance.
I LOVERAIN (6) held on to finish third last time out over 1300m at this track after leading for much of the way. Was a big winner prior and with the inside gate and 2kg claim, he will be hard to peg back.
