Queensland product Luke Nolen started his apprenticeship in his home town of Dalby in 1997 before joining Gerald Egan at Mansfield in 1998.
Riding his first winner at Albury in March of the same year, Nolen rose through the Victorian riding ranks during the 2000's and became the number 1 rider for the strong Peter Moody stable in 2003.
Luke Nolen picked up his first Group 1 win aboard Wonderful World in the 2006 Caulfield Guineas for Bart Cummings his first spring feature win coming the following year on El Segundo in the WS Cox Plate.
In 2009, Nolen began his partnership with champion sprinter Black Caviar, riding the great mare in 22 of her 25 wins, 14 of them at Group 1 level including the thrilling Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot in 2012.
Luke Nolen is a multiple Melbourne jockey premiership winning rider, winning it three years running between 2010-2012.
