Matthew Dale worked with some leading stables such as Gai Waterhouse and John O'Shea before taking out a license of his own during the 2002/03 season.
Based in Canberra, Matthew Dale has won races at all Metropolitan tracks in Sydney and Melbourne and is regarded as one of the leading young trainers in New South Wales.
In 2011, Dale claimed his first major win with Lebrechaun in the Listed National Sprint but has had most success with Fell Swoop, a Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placegetter.
With only a small team, Dale consistently trains at a high winning percentage, claiming many country feature races throughout southern New South Wales.
