United Kingdom
After spending time with John Winter and Sir Mark Prescott, William Haggas took out his own training license and trained his first winner Tricky Note in 1987 from his Somerville Lodge base.
In 2011, Haggas became a member of the elite band of trainers to have saddled two Epsom Classic winners when Dancing Rain took out the Oaks, adding to Shaamit's Derby win in 1996.
In 2014, Mukhadram took out the Group 1 Coral Eclipse with Rivet also taking out the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster in 2016.
Haggas has continued to train a large number of winners and in the 2017 season saddled some 165 winners, his best season to that point.
