Daryz dazzles at Longchamp

3 minute read

On his first outing since the Arc he was superb in the Ganay.

DARYZ.
DARYZ. Picture: Pat Healy Photography

Although there were only five runners he still had to show that at 2100m there are few better.  He had been working well but even so it is often difficult to win after a long lay off but it seems Daryz has enjoyed his holidays and come back bigger and better.  He will now probably go to the Prix Aga Khan named after his breeder (formerly it was the Prix d'Ispahan) and then on to Royal Ascot.  Bright Picture was second but not in the same race as the winner.

The Barbeville went to the favourite Asmarani with Double Major the second of the four runners.
