Six meetings across the country and here are the specials from Racing and Sports.
REAL BAKER (13) is a speedy gelding resuming for the Baker stable. Scored with a fair bit in hand on debut at Orange before spelling and has trialled up strongly in readiness. Expect him to dart across from the wide draw and take plenty of catching.
The Price/Kent team could not have hoped to find a more suitable race for LET LILY LOOSE (13). Beat home all bar Watersports - who then went on to win the G3 Blue Sapphire - on debut and the jumpouts since have been more than adequate for a daughter of Savabeel. She's drawn out, but that should provide a nice flowing run and expect her to be strong late. Hard to sort out the rest.
JUNE (5) peaks and has been racing well in town. Missed 1L over a mile at Doomben two back and was okay at Eagle Farm this distance last time. Much better placed today and gets his chance.
IMPULSIVE REACTION (2) was in the market on debut at Warrnambool and ran very well, getting home strongly to just miss the winner over 1400m, giving every indication he'd relish 1600m here. He'll likely sit off the pace here but finds a nice race and can prove too strong late.
STRUCK GOLD (2) looks hard to beat again. Has won two of the last three, the latest this course and distance in slightly lesser grade. Drops in weight and expected to go close again.
HARTMAN (4) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win on the Devonport Synthetic over 1350m. Had won here three back and then didn't have the best of it as favourite at the track/trip after. He's likely to control the race from the inside barrier and can go on with the job.
